Foreign Marching Badges You Can Earn Virtually
Across Europe, military marching badges have been earned the same way for generations: cover the distance, carry the weight, meet the standard. Rucking Tough brings those marches to you. Ruck from your own route, anywhere in the world, submit your proof — and earn the official badge, confirmed with the organization that issues it.
This guide covers every foreign badge you can earn with us, what each one takes, and what arrives in your packet.
The Czech Marches
Three marches run four times a year with the Czech Military Marche organization. The standard is the same for all three: 20 km in one continuous ruck, 16 kg (35 lb) dry weight, in uniform for service members, with tracking proof. Each registration includes the official badge, official ribbon, and certificate, with shipping included.
Czech Military Marche
The flagship Czech march — a test of endurance in the tradition of Czech military marching. Complete the 20 km standard during the event window and earn the official Czech badge, awarded in classes as your participations accumulate. See the current Military Marche.
Go deeper: the full story of this march — from Brno Reservoir in 2011 to the medal's symbolism — is in our Czech Military Marche deep-dive.
Czech Statehood Marche
Held for Czech Statehood Day, honoring Saint Wenceslas, the patron of the Czech lands. The badge's design reflects the knightly tradition he represents — a Greek knight's cross framed by concentric circles. See the current Statehood Marche.
Czech Austerlitz Marche
Named for Austerlitz — the 1805 Battle of the Three Emperors near Slavkov — this march carries one of Europe's most studied battlefields on its name. Same 20 km standard, same official recognition. See the current Austerlitz Marche.
Czech Death March
The endurance end of the Czech program: tiered distances from a 12 km symbolic march up to the 117 km Super Extreme Walker, each with its own time standard. Pick the distance that tests you. See the Death March tiers.
The Austrian Awards
Austrian Virtuelle Marche
Austria's virtual march, run four times a year: the same 20 km continuous standard with 16 kg dry weight and tracking proof. Your packet includes the medal, ribbon, and certificate, issued through the Austrian organization. See the Austrian events.
Go deeper: distances, the Bronze-to-Gold medal ladder, and the marksmanship badges are all explained in our Austrian Awards guide.
Austrian Marksmanship
Not every badge is earned on your feet. The Austrian marksmanship program is a shooting qualification run for units and groups — pistol and rifle standards with graded Kombination awards. Groups book it through our team. Plan a marksmanship event for your group.

Polish SSch Sniper Badge
Also earned on our ranges: the Polish sniper qualification, run for groups alongside the Austrian program — badge and certificate for shooters who meet the standard. Plan a shooting badge event for your group.
Austria's mountain tradition has an emblem older than any march on this page: the edelweiss worn by mountain troops. Our guide to the Edelweiss badge covers its history — and the high mountain marches that earn it.

Questions
Are these official badges? Yes. The awards are issued by the Czech and Austrian organizations behind the marches. We confirm every verified completion with them before your packet is produced and shipped.
Do I have to be in the military? No. Service members, veterans, and civilians all ruck with us. The uniform requirement applies to service members; civilians ruck in their own gear.
Can my unit or group do this together? Yes — groups get their own registration page, roster support, and certificates printed from the organizer's official roster. Start with Group Registration.
Can I wear the badge on my uniform? Wear runs through your service regulations and your chain of command. Our Foreign Badges page walks through the approval process and the documentation we provide for your packet.
Where's the full list? The Foreign Award List shows every award, and the All Rucks collection shows what's open now.
