Sometimes you should listen to your body and it’s okay if you don’t complete a ruck. I tried to do my 2nd Norwegian ruck in 2025 (a 10-year gap from my first one). At the turn-around point (15K) my body was done...Now I’m preparing to give it another go.

All the rucks have been fun...The Rucking Originals have been a great inspiration. The WWII D-Day challenge had great history and meaning. I'm building up to tackle a Norwegian Foot March and the Czech Death March.

Favorite ruck so far was the Austrian Virtuelle march. I had no idea what that ribbon material was going to look like. I wasn't disappointed, it's a crazy looking award.

My advice for new ruckers? Just start. You won't know what you're doing or probably even what your goals are with this. That will become more clear in time. Just lace up your boots and get out there.

I enjoy hiking a lot; the military got me more into rucking. I like hiking new places, and if I'm earning a foreign award or certificate, that gives me something to look forward to.

Favorite ruck so far? Without a doubt, the 82nd Anniversary of D-Day in Normandy. I completed both the GORUCK 26.2 and the Rucking Tough GRIT D-Day event. It was an incredible experience and an honor to ruck where so many brave men fought and gave their lives for our freedom.
