Ruck Hack: Make Drinking Easy

One of the easiest ways to make a long ruck more manageable is to make hydration convenient. If your water is buried at the bottom of your ruck, you're much less likely to drink consistently because stopping to take off your pack every time you need a drink becomes a hassle.

Instead, think about hydration when you're packing. Keep your water source somewhere you can access without completely unloading your ruck, whether that's in an external pocket, a side pouch, or another easily reachable spot. If you're using a hydration bladder, route the hose where you can grab it without breaking your stride.

The goal is simple: make drinking easy. When you don't have to stop and dig through your pack, you're more likely to take regular drinks throughout the ruck rather than waiting until you're already thirsty.

A little planning before you step off can make a surprisingly big difference once the miles start adding up.

Stay rucking tough!
