Ruck Hack: Don't Let Your Boots Be Your Downfall!

We know our Rucking Tough community is putting in miles all over the world, and while the seasons may look different depending on where you're rucking, fall is settling in for many of us in the Northern Hemisphere.

That means wet leaves, muddy trails, slick rocks, and unpredictable terrain. And when you're carrying extra weight on your back, traction becomes even more important.

Here's your fall ruck hack: Check your boot tread before you hit the trail! Take a minute to flip your boots over. Look for worn-down tread, and make sure the grooves aren't packed with dried mud, dirt, or debris. Those grooves help your boots grip the ground, and when they're clogged or worn down, you can lose valuable traction.

Use a stiff brush to clean out the tread, and if your soles are getting smooth, it might be time for a new pair.

Remember, it's not just about how many miles your boots have left. It's about how safely they can carry you through those miles.

Stay Rucking Tough!
