Military-life Update

Those who are new to the Rucking Tough community may not know this, but our family has been stationed in Europe for the past three years. As military families know all too well, the Army has decided it's time to move again.

Three years in Germany changed our lives.

We traveled places I never imagined we'd see, experienced cultures we never expected to experience, and created memories that will stay with our family forever.

That said, OCONUS life in Europe is not for everyone. Nearly everything comes with an extra layer of complexity, from travel and paperwork to daily logistics and unexpected expenses. It can be frustrating, exhausting, and expensive.

But if you're adventurous, flexible, and willing to embrace the chaos from time to time, it is one of the most rewarding assignments the military has to offer. The challenges are real, but so are the opportunities. Looking back, we'd do it all over again.
