Time Limit: Completed within 24 Hours
**Complete the prescribed distance within 24 hours of starting. The clock may be paused for rest or sleep, but the full distance must be completed within the 24-hour limit.**
In Uniform
**Civilians are exempt from the uniform requirement. Military participants may also be exempt when wearing a uniform is impractical or unsafe due to extenuating circumstances.**

Purpose (Translated from Czech)
The extreme long-distance MILITARY DEATH MARCH does not aim to celebrate death. It honors the innocent women and girls who died in the 1945 Death March. By participating in this ruck, you will financially contribute to the restoration of the volary cemetery graves, where the victims of the 1945 death march are buried, and to other projects.
Walking Medal
Front side:
In the center is a skull and crossbones symbol – it symbolizes death, thus symbolizing the name of the march MILITARY DEATH MARCH. The barbed wire is intended to draw attention to the innocent women and girls who had to die in terrible conditions.
Back side:
In the center is a tombstone with the inscription "RIP" - the Latin prayer Requiescat In Pace, you can find a modified English version Rest In Peace. The upper inscription is the inscription "Dedicated to the victims of the death march". The lower inscription is the number "1945" - the year in which the death march transports took place.
Ribbon:
Yellow color – symbolizes hope, warmth, faith to survive
Red color – symbolizes shed blood
Black color – symbolizes death
A Czech lion - a symbol of Bohemia

In the middle is a portrait of Mrs. Jaroslava Krejsová, a collector of stories from this time. In her archive, you will find hundreds of stories of victims of the death march. By placing Mrs. Jaroslava Krejsová on the reverse side of the SYMBOLIC category medal, we would like to express our respect and thank this person for everything she has accomplished and how she has contributed to ensuring that the fates of individual women are not forgotten.
