RUCK HACK: THE TWO-MINUTE RULE
Two minutes. That's all it takes.
Before you step out the door, give yourself two minutes to stop, look over your gear, and make sure you have what you need. It sounds simple, but those little things you forget before a ruck have a funny way of becoming the things you really wish you had three miles in.
Water? Check.
Socks? Check.
Phone? Check.
Headlamp? Check.
Pack adjusted? Check.
Weight secured? Check.
Anything you'll need along the way? Check.
This isn't about obsessing over every piece of gear. It's about catching the obvious stuff before you're already on the road.
And while you're at it, take a second to check your feet, make sure your straps are sitting where they should, and make sure nothing in your pack is shifting around. Two minutes of preparation can save you from stopping later to fix something that could have been caught at the front door.
Don't let a two-minute check become a two-hour problem.
Take the two minutes. Check your gear. Then get moving.
Stay rucking tough!
